Welcome to my website.
I am an artist in Textiles, Fine Art and Mixed Media.
I became fascinated by art at an early age which prompted my art and design motivated further education. I completed a foundation course in art and design at Newcastle College, exploring many disciplines such as ceramics, photography, painting and textiles, before specialising in Textile Design to degree level at Nottingham Trent University. I am an experienced freelance fabric designer specialising in embellished fabrics for the fashion market.
At present, I work in the mediums of textiles, painting and mixed media incorporating photography. My work explores texture, movement and light and I am especially inspired by the local region, the coast and the changing elements.
